Residents interested in a career in global health may choose to participate in our Global Health Track. The specialized track is designed for 2nd and 3rd year residents interested in global health:
- Provides additional training in global health topics (i.e. healthcare in limited resource settings, malnutrition, HIV, TB, etc.)
- International rotation during 3rd year.
- Scholarly project within global health.
- Apply for track fall of intern year.
Track residents help facilitate the bi-monthly Global Health Journal Club open to all residents.
Additionally, residents who wish to experience healthcare in a location far from Phoenix can work with our Global Health Advisor, Dr. Lara Yoblonski, to customize a rotation that meets their future plans.
Our residents have recently travelled to Dominican Republic, Argentina, Peru and Malawi to name a few places.
Residents who want the experience of working in an underserved area closer to home can rotate in Tuba City in the Navajo Nation for a truly unique experience.
