Resident Voice & Program Improvement

Resident feedback is an essential part of our program and is incorporated through multiple formal and informal channels.

  • Housestaff Leadership Team: Monthly meetings between the Housestaff Executive Team and resident representatives from each class provide a forum to share feedback, identify concerns and discuss opportunities for program improvement.
  • Breakfast with Vasu: Open monthly meetings with Dr. Vasudha Bhavaraju, Chief Medical Education Officer, give residents direct access to institutional leadership in an informal setting.
  • Program Director Meetings: Our Program Director maintains an open-door policy and meets individually with residents throughout training, including dedicated one-on-one meetings with all interns during their first year.
  • Anonymous Issues of Concern: Residents may anonymously submit concerns, suggestions, or feedback at any time.
  • Program Leadership & Chief Resident Meetings: Program leadership and chief residents meet weekly to review resident feedback, discuss ongoing program needs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Annual Program & Rotation Reviews: Residents provide formal feedback on the overall residency program and individual rotations each year, helping guide curricular and operational improvements.
