During the residency year, you’ll:

• Integrate layered learning and mentorship with PGY1 pharmacy residents and student pharmacists. 
• Actively participate in daily patient care rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring and provision of drug information to the medical team.
• Present medication monographs and therapy class reviews to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee.
• Complete a residency research project suitable for publication and present results at the Pediatric Pharmacy Association.
• Work in the inpatient pharmacy every third weekend.
• Deliver lectures to pharmacy students at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy.

To successfully complete the program, the resident must achieve:

  •  29 out of 33 (90%) of the required ASHP PGY2 residency program goals and objectives
  • All R1 objectives must be assessed as achieved for the residency
  • The remaining 4 objectives (10%) must be assessed at a minimum of satisfactory progress
