Save Kids Lives: “Go Places” with Toyota and Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Everyone knows Valley Toyota Dealers and Phoenix Children’s Hospital are going places.  Both organizations are on the cutting edge in their field, whether it’s building a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, or giving buyers a way to choose vehicles that let them leave a mark without leaving emissions in the air.

The “Kids Safe at Home” program, a partnership between the two organizations, is also going places.  Addressing heartbreaking injuries like motor vehicle crashes, drownings, and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (SUIDS,) the program continues a relationship that began more than ten years ago.  Fresh messaging, materials and events will give Valley families valuable resources.

As the school year ends, backpacks will hit the floor and families will dive into swimming, so programming kicks off in June with water safety:

  • Sunday, June 11th, Big Two Toyota (1250 S. Gilbert Road, Chandler AZ 85286) will host a free CPR and water safety event.  CPR classes will take place at 9 am and 1 pm, with a limited number of sign-ups available.  CPR lessons are an important part of a family’s water safety plan.
  • Distribution of free Toyota Water Safety Kits, to help families have fun, low-stress swim time.  The kits help parents reduce risk for toddlers, including reducing distractions at the pool area.  Kits will be targeted for families in low socioeconomic settings, who are at increased risk for drownings.
