Visit the Zone: A Space for Kids

If you hear lots of laughter and families having fun, you may be near the Zone. Patients and families call it “the happiest place.” Staffed by our Child Life team, the Zone is a space designed for children to play – and forget about daily hospital life.

Watch TV & Movies

We keep our programming family-friendly and age-appropriate. All patient rooms have a television with English and Spanish stations, as well as high-speed Internet access.

Go to channels 81 to 90 for free in-room movies and entertainment. Channel 90 is our Spanish-only station.

You can refer to the TV guide in your child’s room to see what’s available to watch or ask your nurse or Child Life specialist for TV schedules.

Come to a Playroom for Toys, Crafts & Games

During your child’s stay, they can use:

  • Playrooms – Children can choose to enjoy arts and crafts, movies, toys and more in child-friendly spaces.
  • Video gaming systems – Video games are available for checkout and come around on a mobile cart. At your request, we’ll bring the cart into your child’s room.
  • Books, board games, crafts and more – Children may check out board games, craft activities, books and more to use in playrooms or patient rooms.
