Child Life at Phoenix Children’s depends on generous support from the community. Whether you donate a toy, book or another item from our wish list, or donate money, every contribution helps patients and families during their hospital stays.
Play is an important part of the healing and coping process for pediatric patients. At Phoenix Children’s, we’re dedicated to making sure our Child Life staff have access to the appropriate toys they need to support each child. Toys can help:
Distract children during painful treatments and procedures
Find ways to cope during high-stress situations
Reward and motivate children to reach important health milestones
Decrease anxiety by showing kids what to expect during an upcoming medical procedure
Improve physical rehabilitation
Normalize stays in the hospital
