The Phoenix Children’s Heart Center, a top 10 program for pediatric cardiology and pediatric heart surgery as ranked by US News & World Report, is proud to announce Wayne J. For the fourth time, Phoenix Children’s Hospital earned national rankings by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals in 10 out of 10 specialties. The health system is the only children’s hospital in Arizona ever to have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report and one of only 24 children’s hospitals in the United States to rank in all 10 surveyed specialties for 2020-2021.

Research conducted at the Phoenix Children’s Research Institute at the University of Arizona College of Medicine — Phoenix shows normalizing cancer tumor vessels and alleviating low oxygen levels in the tumor microenvironment can improve the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment in lung cancer, according to a paper published in EMBO Molecular Medicine.

Phoenix Children’s has partnered with the Phoenix Fire Department to host the fourth EMS | MVP Pediatric Symposium, a training to ensure first responders in Arizona have the up-to-date education they need to respond to pediatric emergencies, which often require a very different response than adult emergency calls.
