This January, Phoenix Children’s marked the opening of its newest specialty clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. Phoenix Children’s Specialty Clinic – Mercy Gilbert Medical Center gives East Valley families access to a full range of pediatric health services, now closer to home. The new three-story, 45,000-square-foot clinic offers care in 11 highly sought-after specialty areas.

Phoenix Children’s and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) announced the two organizations reached agreement on a new contract. Under this new contract, Phoenix Children’s will continue to be an in-network provider for BCBSAZ members and their families.

Phoenix Children’s and Cigna announced the two organizations reached a tentative agreement yesterday as contract discussions continue. While the contract is being finalized, Phoenix Children’s remains an in-network provider for families with Cigna employer-sponsored health coverage.

The 39 experienced pediatric anesthesiologists have practiced extensively at Phoenix Children’s and will now be directly employed by Phoenix Children’s Medical Group.

The new clinic, which will begin serving families on Wednesday, Nov. 15, is located at 6524 W. Sack Drive in Glendale. The opening of the multi-specialty clinic marks the first phase of the campus’ opening. Construction continues at Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Arrowhead Campus, a freestanding pediatric hospital that will provide inpatient care, a 24/7 emergency department, a surgery center and a full suite of imaging services. The hospital is slated to open in July 2024.
