Phoenix Children’s, one of the nation’s largest pediatric health care systems and the only freestanding children’s hospital in Arizona, announced today that Carlyle “Cary” Hall and Emilia Keric have joined as legal counsel. Hall will serve as chief risk and litigation counsel and Keric will serve as associate general counsel.

Phoenix Children’s is pleased to announce Jared Muenzer, MD, MBA, has been promoted to serve the organization as Physician-in-Chief. As Physician-in-Chief, Dr. Muenzer will lead the nationally ranked clinical enterprise at Phoenix Children’s alongside Surgeon-in-Chief, Daniel Ostlie, MD.

The Phoenix Tourette Syndrome, a unique partnership between Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Sun Health Research Institute, has been verified as a Center of Excellence by the Tourette Association of America, an institution that aims to advance research and advocacy for Tourette Syndrome and other tic disorders.

Cynthia Wetmore, MD, PhD, has joined the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s as division chief. Dr. Wetmore earned her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in history of science from Harvard University, Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, and Doctorate in neurobiology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic and completed fellowship training in hematology/oncology and neuro-oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
