Gina-Marie Barletta, MD; Kelly Benedict, MD; Stephanie Hsieh, MD; Mark Joseph, MD; Karen Papez, MD; and Scott Williams, MD, have joined PCMG, creating the largest team of pediatric nephrologists in Arizona.

Phoenix Children’s Earns Pair of Highest Achievable Three-Year Accreditations for Inpatient Rehabilitation Services

Phoenix Children's, one of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems, has received a pair of three-year accreditations from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the specialties of Inpatient Rehabilitation Pediatric Specialty Program and Brain Injury Specialty Program. Phoenix Children’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is the only pediatric and adolescent program in the state. CARF International is an independent nonprofit accreditor of health and human services aimed at raising care standards for service providers.

Highlighting efforts in patient safety and quality, Phoenix Children’s Hospital received a Five Star Patient Care “Vigi Award” from VigiLanz, a provider of SaaS clinical surveillance solutions. The award recognizes a new quality improvement solution Phoenix Children’s implemented with VigiLanz technology. Dr. Ashish S. Patel Named Physician-in-Chief at Phoenix Children’s

In his new role, Dr. Patel leads four of Phoenix Children’s eight clinical centers. He also oversees hospitalist medicine, mental and behavioral health, and Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics practices. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Patel is now part of the health system’s Executive Physician Leadership team and the Phoenix Children’s Medical Group Governance Council.
