The Phoenix Tourette Syndrome, a unique partnership between Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Sun Health Research Institute, has been verified as a Center of Excellence by the Tourette Association of America, an institution that aims to advance research and advocacy for Tourette Syndrome and other tic disorders.

When it opens in 2024, it will continue to be Arizona’s only American Academy of Pediatrics-designated Level IV NICU, a designation indicating the highest level of medical care available for the most complex neonatal conditions, the sickest and the most premature newborns.

Joining the newly created Division of Anesthesiology are 39 experienced providers who recently transitioned from a longstanding private practice into Phoenix Children’s Medical Group. Phoenix Children’s new 17,000-square-foot Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) will open to patients on October 18, increasing the Hospital’s capacity to care for children and adults fighting pediatric cancer and complex blood disorders.

With 48 total inpatient beds, the new CVICU doubles the capacity of the previous 24-bed unit. New CVICU rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology like surgical lighting, lifts for mobilizing adult patients and improved monitoring capabilities.

Phoenix Children's, one of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems, has received a pair of three-year accreditations from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the specialties of Inpatient Rehabilitation Pediatric Specialty Program and Brain Injury Specialty Program. Phoenix Children’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is the only pediatric and adolescent program in the state. CARF International is an independent nonprofit accreditor of health and human services aimed at raising care standards for service providers.

The Valley Toyota Dealers Association (TDA) announced today that they will match up to $250,000 toward the new Emergency Department and Trauma Center at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. As the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation nears its goal of raising $40 million to fund the new facility, the TDA plays a major role in raising the last $500,000 needed to achieve that target. Together, the TDA and Phoenix Children’s are asking the community to help raise the remaining funds of $250,000.
