Kathleen van Leeuwen, MD, will serve as associate surgeon-in-chief of Phoenix Children’s Hospital – East Valley, slated to open in 2023. Dr. van Leeuwen is recognized in her field as an outstanding physician and surgeon and, as a longtime resident and active community member in the East Valley, she has worked and lived alongside the families Phoenix Children’s serves.

Joining the newly created Division of Anesthesiology are 39 experienced providers who recently transitioned from a longstanding private practice into Phoenix Children’s Medical Group.
