Neonatology at Phoenix Children’s, ranked among the nation’s top programs by U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals,” announced today that Gregory Martin, MD, FAAP, will serve as Division Chief of Neonatology for Phoenix Children’s Hospital East Valley.

Phoenix Children’s new 17,000-square-foot Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) will open to patients on October 18, increasing the Hospital’s capacity to care for children and adults fighting pediatric cancer and complex blood disorders.

Cynthia Wetmore, MD, PhD, has joined the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s as division chief. Dr. Wetmore earned her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in history of science from Harvard University, Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, and Doctorate in neurobiology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic and completed fellowship training in hematology/oncology and neuro-oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mario Otto, MD, PhD, has been appointed Director of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) and Division Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Phoenix Children’s.
