Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Mesa Pediatrics Professional Association (“Mesa Pediatrics”) are thrilled to announce Mesa Pediatrics and its four locations across the Phoenix East Valley joined Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics. The collaboration brings together providers from two of Arizona’s original pediatric institutions. Mesa Pediatrics was the first pediatric practice established in the East Valley with a board certified pediatrician, and Phoenix Children’s is the first and only standalone children’s hospital in Arizona.

Phoenix Children's Hospital has received a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF International is an independent nonprofit accreditor of health and human services aimed at raising care standards for service providers.

The new clinic, which will begin serving families on Wednesday, Nov. 15, is located at 6524 W. Sack Drive in Glendale. The opening of the multi-specialty clinic marks the first phase of the campus’ opening. Construction continues at Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Arrowhead Campus, a freestanding pediatric hospital that will provide inpatient care, a 24/7 emergency department, a surgery center and a full suite of imaging services. The hospital is slated to open in July 2024.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) and Phoenix Children’s Hospital announced the two organizations reached agreement on a new three-year contract. Under this new Contract, Phoenix Children’s Hospital will continue to be an in-network provider for BCBSAZ members and those families insured under plans that utilize the BCBSAZ network.

Phoenix Children’s new 17,000-square-foot Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) will open to patients on October 18, increasing the Hospital’s capacity to care for children and adults fighting pediatric cancer and complex blood disorders.
