The 16th annual Give-A-Thon for Phoenix Children’s Hospital became the top fundraiser of its kind in the country by collecting more than $1.58 million in donations during a 19-hour radio simulcast on KTAR News (92.3 FM) and Arizona Sports (98.7 FM). This marks the seventh year in a row that Bonneville Media’s two stations have exceeded $1 million in donations.

They’re grace under fire working long hours, making split-second life-changing decisions, while offering unending comfort and support to patients and families who face enormous healthcare challenges. In fact, when patients and their families recount their experiences at Phoenix Children’s, their nursing team is often the first to receive their admiration and gratitude.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is proud to report President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert L. “Bob” Meyer, was recognized as the Phoenix Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient during the publication’s 2019 C-Suite Awards event on November 7.

The new clinic, which will begin serving families on Wednesday, Nov. 15, is located at 6524 W. Sack Drive in Glendale. The opening of the multi-specialty clinic marks the first phase of the campus’ opening. Construction continues at Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Arrowhead Campus, a freestanding pediatric hospital that will provide inpatient care, a 24/7 emergency department, a surgery center and a full suite of imaging services. The hospital is slated to open in July 2024.

The Valley Toyota Dealers Association (TDA) announced today that they will match up to $250,000 toward the new Emergency Department and Trauma Center at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. As the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation nears its goal of raising $40 million to fund the new facility, the TDA plays a major role in raising the last $500,000 needed to achieve that target. Together, the TDA and Phoenix Children’s are asking the community to help raise the remaining funds of $250,000.

In a move to further enhance the award-winning health system’s ability to provide specialized care for children at high risk of infection, Phoenix Children’s created a new Division of Infectious Diseases and named Wassim Ballan, MD, chief of the division.
