The Valley Toyota Dealers Association Pledges to Donate $250,000 to Phoenix Children's Hospital

The Valley Toyota Dealers Association (TDA) announced today that they will match up to $250,000 toward the new Emergency Department and Trauma Center at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. As the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation nears its goal of raising $40 million to fund the new facility, the TDA plays a major role in raising the last $500,000 needed to achieve that target. Together, the TDA and Phoenix Children’s are asking the community to help raise the remaining funds of $250,000.

Phoenix Children’s donates more than 1 million servings of cereal to St. Mary’s for the second year running

For the second time in a row, Phoenix Children’s annual cereal drive for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance yielded more than 1 million servings of food for Arizona’s vulnerable children. Two of the largest non-profit organizations in the state, Phoenix Children’s and St. Mary’s provide meals to children through the summer. For the seventh year, Phoenix Children’s cereal drive is the largest donation event of the year for St. Mary’s and stocks the shelves during the season when children lose access to school-provided meals. Hospital staff gathered at St. Mary’s Food Bank Warehouse on Monday morning to celebrate as the organization delivered its contribution to fighting childhood hunger.

Phoenix Children’s, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing pediatric healthcare systems, today announced the retirement of Robert L. Meyer, who has served as the organization’s President and CEO for 22 years. Working closely with the Board of Directors to finalize the leadership transition process, including the selection of his replacement, Meyer will officially retire in the summer of 2025, marking the end of an exceptional leadership tenure that has shaped Phoenix Children’s into a nationally recognized institution for children's healthcare.

Phoenix Children’s and St. Mary’s reach out to the Valley to combat child hunger

In an effort to increase donations and make a bigger dent in childhood hunger, Phoenix Children’s is inviting the community to participate in the seventh-annual employee cereal drive. The event, which yielded 1.3 million servings last year, reflects a partnership between Phoenix Children’s and St. Mary’s Food Bank to stock up on breakfast options for Arizona’s at-risk children and families.
