Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program

Children younger than one year of age who undergo heart surgery with cardiac bypass are known to be at high risk for neurodevelopmental conditions resulting from their cardiac disease down the road. Neurodevelopmental evaluations track child development in the following critical areas:

  • Academics/pre-academics
  • Behavioral/emotional
  • Cognition
  • Executive function
  • Language
  • Memory
  • Sensory processing
  • Visual-motor skills

  • Neurodevelopmental/neurocognitive evaluation

  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Feeding therapy
