Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
As the region's premier facility dedicated exclusively to pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation, we offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each young patient. Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is led by a team of experienced pediatric specialists and is designed to serve children dealing with chronic medical conditions, temporary impairments, trauma or injuries. Through targeted physical rehabilitation, we aim to alleviate pain, enhance strength, reduce the effects of impairments and boost overall function and engagement in daily activities. We provide personalized support for children affected by a wide range of conditions or surgical procedures, addressing their specific challenges with expert care, compassion and dedication.
Common conditions potentially requiring rehabilitation services include:
- Cancer and blood disorders
- Cardiac disorders, both congenital and acquired
- Chronic pain
- Complex medical conditions and cross-specialty care, including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices for sleep apnea, diabetes management, feeding intolerance, isolation precautions, intravenous (IV) medications, medication weaning, nasogastric (NG) tubes and feeding assistance, peritoneal dialysis, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)/central lines, post-transplant care, radiation therapy, tracheostomy and use of mechanical ventilator, wound care and wound VAC (vacuum-assisted care).
