Survivorship Programs

Care doesn’t end once your child completes treatment. Our goal is to help every child treated for a brain or spinal cord tumor enjoy childhood and continue to thrive well into adulthood. Phoenix Children's Survivorship Programs bring together clinical care, research and social support. Your family has a dedicated team in their corner long after active treatment ends.

After completing intensive therapies such as radiation or certain chemotherapies, your child will transition into our long-term follow-up Survivorship Clinic. Your child’s team includes their oncologist, a pediatric endocrinologist and a registered dietician, as well as rehabilitation medicine and psychology specialists, all working together to help your child's development, health and well-being stay on track as they grow.

You will meet with this team annually for recommendations tailored to your child’s individual needs and health history. Your child’s primary care provider receives a full written summary to ensure your child continues to receive coordinated care.
