Neuropsychology
The neuropsychology team at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s cares for children with medical conditions that affect brain function and development. Your child must have a qualifying medical condition and be referred to by a physician.
Some examples of qualifying medical conditions include:
- Cancer
- Chromosomal Abnormalities and Genetic Disorders
- Concussion or Traumatic Brain Injury
- Conditions requiring neurosurgery (pre- and post-assessment)
- Demyelinating conditions
- Epilepsy
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and fetal substance syndrome
- Genetic conditions
- Meningitis / Encephalitis
- Movement Disorders
- Premature Birth
- Stroke
- Transplant (pre- and post-assessment)
We can offer care and guidance to help these children with memory, cognitive skills, coordination, learning and other challenges as they grow and learn.
