Neuropsychology
The neuropsychology team at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s cares for children with medical conditions that affect brain functioning and development. Your child must have a qualifying medical condition and be referred by a physician.
Some examples of qualifying medical conditions include:
- Cancer
- Concussion
- Conditions requiring neurosurgery (pre-and post-assessment)
- Demyelinating conditions
- Epilepsy
- Fetal alcohol syndrome
- Meningitis
- Movement disorders
- Premature birth
- Stroke
- Transplant
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Chromosomal abnormalities and genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome
We can offer care and guidance to help these children with memory, thinking (cognitive), coordination, learning and other challenges as they grow and learn.
