Rehabilitation is an important medical specialty focused on restoring and maintaining optimal health and functioning while reducing disability. The Frances H. McClelland Rehabilitation Program at Phoenix Children's offers the most comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation program in Arizona.

Our program encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services, focusing on the diverse needs of children and adolescents. Our multidisciplinary team includes physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists and specialized intensive feeding therapists.

Early rehabilitation intervention produces better functional outcomes and quality of life for many medical, surgical and traumatic disorders. The rehabilitation services team at Phoenix Children’s is committed to helping children overcome physical, cognitive or behavioral challenges.

Through personalized therapeutic interventions tailored to specific goals, we aim to enhance your child’s quality of life and functional abilities. Our therapists understand the unique needs of growing children, adapting to their evolving conditions and developmental stages.

Under physician leadership, our inpatient rehabilitation specialists provide care for children across various hospital departments, including intensive care, orthopedics and surgery, as well as those in our dedicated 12-bed inpatient rehab unit. Phoenix Children’s inpatient rehabilitation program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), underscoring our commitment to the highest level of care.
