Frequently Asked Questions

We are offering Urgent Care Schedule Ahead appointments so parents and guardians can plan their child’s care in advance and reduce wait times at the urgent care clinic.

Walk-in patients will be scheduled for the next available urgent care appointment upon arrival at the clinic. Available appointments can vary depending on the number of existing appointments that have been scheduled.

Visit phoenixchildrens.org/urgentcarescheduling and select an urgent care location and available appointment time. Fill out the required information and submit your appointment request. Please make sure to complete the remaining steps when you receive the appointment confirmation via text message and email.

You will need the patient’s name, gender, date of birth and reason for visit. The parent or guardian’s email address and cell phone number are also needed. Additional information, such as your address, may also be requested.

You will receive a confirmation text message and email with a link to complete the remaining steps. Please complete these before your appointment time. You will also receive a QR code that you will scan at the check-in kiosk when you arrive at the urgent care clinic.

When you arrive for your appointment at the urgent care clinic, please locate the check-in kiosk and scan the QR code that you previously received via text message and email. By scanning your QR code, your child will be automatically checked in for their appointment. If more information is needed, you will be notified on the kiosk. If no additional information is needed, please take a seat in the lobby and a team member will be with you shortly.

Yes, walk-in patients will continue to be seen; however, if an urgent care appointment was not scheduled before arriving at the clinic, you will need to scan the QR code on the kiosk in our lobby, which will prompt you to schedule an appointment online. Our urgent care team members will also be available to assist patient families with questions. To reduce your wait time, we encourage all parents and guardians to use our new, online scheduling tool to schedule ahead for all your child’s urgent care appointments.

Please scan your QR code at the check-in kiosk when you arrive at the urgent care clinic before your appointment time and ensure you have completed the remaining steps that were sent to you via text message and email. If a patient arrives late or does not check in, they may be asked to reschedule their appointment to another available time.

If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you will find these options in the text message and email that you received after scheduling your appointment. If you have a patient portal account, you may also change or cancel your appointment by logging in to your patient portal.
