About Anastasia L. Gentles, MD
Anastasia L. Gentles, MD, is an emergency medicine and urgent care physician at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Gentles completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis, in Davis, California, and a master's degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in San Diego. Dr. Gentles completed her medical residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital Oakland, now known as UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, in the San Francisco Bay area.
Dr. Gentles is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is active with the organization M3 Mobilizing Medical Missions and was previously the founder and medical director of the first pediatric urgent care facility in Houston.
Throughout her career in medicine, Dr. Gentles has believed in a team approach to patient care. She recognizes that communication and understanding are vital to meeting the best interests of the children she treats. She ensures parents support the plan of care, since that is essential to the child's success.
In her free time, Dr. Gentles enjoys reading with her book club, yoga and breath training, hiking and volunteering on medical missions through her church.
