About Anna Kushnir, MD
As a pediatric hospitalist, Anna Kushnir, MD, cares for kids while they're in the hospital.
Dr. Kushnir came to Phoenix Children's as a resident. She was drawn by the opportunity to work and learn at a hospital that cared for children with a wide variety of conditions. Her love for the Hospital Medicine department and the people she worked with led her to stay.
Dr. Kushnir's high school biology teacher sparked her interest in medicine.
Dr. Kushnir earned her medical degree at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis. She completed a pediatric residency and a hospitalist fellowship at Phoenix Children's and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Kushnir is also certified in pediatric advanced life support and has completed the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, which was developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Kushnir understands the relevance of research in her field and contributes as a primary investigator and sub-investigator in several studies. She has also presented at professional meetings both locally and nationally.
Dr. Kushnir's patient care philosophy is to focus on caring for each patient and their family as she would her own. When she's not working, Dr. Kushnir enjoys cooking, hiking, bouldering and herding her three cats.
