When you have a child in the hospital, you want a trusted team of caring physicians at their side. With the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Medicine Program, you have that and more. These medical doctors, called hospitalists, have advanced training to meet the unique needs of children during a hospital stay. Hospitalists have a range of medical experience in pediatrics and all its specialty areas and are familiar with the unique environment of hospital care. We care for even the most complex medical needs of our patients with empathy and expertise.
This diversity of experience puts us in the best position to care for all aspects of your child’s health and well-being. Because everything we do is focused on kids, we’re able to care for their current medical conditions and address their physical, behavioral and emotional health needs.
In Hospital Medicine, our goals are to provide compassionate care based on clinical evidence and to continually improve safety and quality. But our hospitalists offer much more than that to your family. We truly care about your child – their current health and their future health. During your child’s stay at our hospital, we serve as their primary hospital physician. We coordinate with other medical specialists when needed, and we provide discharge planning as well. This coordination allows our staff to provide continuity of care with other providers as patient care continues on an outpatient basis.
To ensure every child receives the top-quality care they deserve, hospitalists are located at our medical centers throughout the Valley.
We are committed to continuous improvement in the quality of the care we provide to our patients. And we are dedicated to medical education and training our future care providers, as well.
