About Christina M. Conrad, DO

Christina Conrad, DO, FAAP, is a medical director of the emergency department and pediatric emergency physician at Phoenix Children's Avondale Campus.

Dr. Conrad graduated with her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis in Davis, California. She earned her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training at Blank Children's Hospital and Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Conrad trained as a fellow in pediatric emergency medicine at Phoenix Children's in Arizona.

A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Conrad is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. In addition to her medical education and training, she also earned a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

In 2023, Dr. Conrad was recognized as Phoenix Children's physician of the year and as attending physician educator of the year. She is a pediatric advanced life support (PALS) educator and a core faculty member for the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship program at Phoenix Children's.

Dr. Conrad is a member of the national and Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, serving on the organization's pediatric emergency medicine committee. She has presented at the Northern Arizona Emergency Medical Services Conference and the Emergency Medical Services and Prehospital Care Conference. Dr. Conrad also has published research in the journal Pediatric Emergency Care.

In her free time, Dr. Conrad enjoys traveling, reading and spending time outdoors and with her daughters.
