About Eileen A. Baez Irizarry, MD

Eileen Baez, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Baez is skilled in treating a wide range of conditions including adrenal gland disorders, hypopituitarism, thyroid disease, diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome.

After earning her bachelor's degree cum laude in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Baez graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico, in a joint program with New York Medical College. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the State University of New York (SUNY) Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Baez also completed a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the Children's Hospital of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she earned the Pediatric Fellow Teaching Excellence Award.

Dr. Baez is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. While at St. Luke's Health System, Dr. Baez was recognized as Pediatric Provider of the Year by the Idaho Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Committed to advancing research in the field of pediatric endocrinology, Dr. Baez has published research in peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Pediatrics, the Journal of Investigative Medicine and the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, paddle boarding and spending time with her family.
