About Eric W. Duncan, MD
Eric Duncan, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Phoenix Children's. He has specialized training in general pediatrics as well as pediatric and adult psychiatry.
Dr. Duncan earned his bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and his medical degree from the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio. He completed his residency training in general pediatrics at Phoenix Children's and Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, and a psychiatric fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals System in Cleveland.
Dr. Duncan is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Before becoming a physician, Dr. Duncan worked as a mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Following a lymphoma diagnosis and treatment, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. While practicing general pediatrics during the COVID-19 pandemic, he saw the increasing need for children's mental health services and decided to complete his fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Duncan enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors with his wife and two young children, hiking, biking, gaming, and making custom creations with his 3D printer.
