About Jon F. McGreevy, MD, MSPH, FAAP
Jon McGreevy, MD, MSPH, is division chief of pediatric emergency medicine and an emergency medicine physician at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. McGreevy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, before earning his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at Children's Medical Center Dallas and the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. McGreevy trained as a fellow in pediatric emergency medicine at St. Louis Children's Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics from the St. Louis University School of Public Health in St. Louis.
Dr. McGreevy is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. McGreevy is an executive board member and member of the Pediatric Preparedness Committee for the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been honored with the Grace L. Caputo Faculty Mentor Award, as well as the Ludwig-Siedel Award for best abstract at a Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting. He was a finalist for the Phoenix Children's Educator of the Year award.
Committed to advancing the field of pediatric emergency medicine through research and public education, Dr. McGreevy has published peer-reviewed research in publications including American Journal of Emergency Medicine, Academic Pediatrics and Journal of Graduate Medical Education. He has also been interviewed on a wide range of child safety topics by numerous local and national media outlets.
Dr. McGreevy is an associate clinical professor at the University of Arizona School of Medicine, associate clinical professor at Creighton University School of Medicine and clinical instructor at the Mayo School of Medicine.
Dr. McGreevy enjoys spending his free time with his family. He can often be found hiking and trail running or preparing recipes from his extensive cookbook collection.
