Justin Lee, MD, has joined Phoenix Children's as a full-time surgeon in the Division of Pediatric General Surgery.

Dr. Lee graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Upon graduation, he completed a general surgery residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston followed by a pediatric surgery fellowship at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He then held a general and thoracic pediatric surgery position at the University of Illinois at Chicago before coming to Phoenix Children's.

Dr. Lee is actively involved in conducting patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes research. He serves as a Surgeon Champion for National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP). His work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and a recent book chapter in the second edition of "Fundamentals of Pediatric Surgery." He has also given various presentations at regional and national meetings, won numerous awards and is a member of several professional societies, including American Pediatric Surgical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lee's clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic/thoracoscopic), neonatal surgery, single site laparoscopic surgery, chest wall reconstruction, and congenital colorectal anomalies.
