About Reina A. Patel, DO
Reina Patel, DO, FAAP, is a pediatric hospital medicine specialist at Phoenix Children's. She is the associate program director of the Pediatric Residency Program Alliance and co-director of professional development for Hospital Medicine. Dr. Patel is committed to mentorship, faculty development, medical education and understanding her patients' concerns to enhance delivery of care.
After earning her undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University), Dr. Patel graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center / Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas with a degree in osteopathic medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Patel is board certified in general pediatrics and subspecialty board certified in pediatric hospital medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Arizona Chapter. Dr. Patel has hosted workshops and presented research posters at numerous national pediatric academic conferences. In addition, she was named a Top Doc by PHOENIX magazine.
Dr. Patel spends her free time outdoors, enjoying nature and volunteering within the community. She also enjoys reading books for the many book clubs she belongs to, planning her next trip, writing poetry and game nights with her family.
