About Shirin G. Vartak, DO
Shirin G. Vartak, DO, is a pediatric psychiatrist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Vartak has specialized training in diagnosing and treating a wide range of behavioral health conditions that affect children and adolescents.
After completing medical school in Phoenix, Dr. Vartak knew she wanted to make her home in Arizona. She is fulfilled by her work and enjoys her colleagues and the strong commitment to patient care at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Vartak earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from The State University of New York - University at Buffalo, in Buffalo, New York. She graduated with her medical degree from Midwestern University's Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. She completed her medical residency in psychiatry at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Vartak is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. For Dr. Vartak, patient safety is the cornerstone of good patient care. She believes that when a patient feels safe - physically, emotionally and psychologically - clinicians can offer the most help.
When not treating her patients, Dr. Vartak enjoys skiing, hiking, playing tennis and spending time with her dog.
