About Terez A. Yonan, DO
Terez Yonan, DO, MPH, is an adolescent medicine specialist at Phoenix Children's. She works with adolescents and their families to help manage reproductive health and a range of conditions including eating disorders and depression.
Dr. Yonan earned her undergraduate degree at Arizona State University in Glendale, Arizona. She earned a master's degree in public health from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. She completed her pediatric residency training at Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, and a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in Los Angeles.
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and adolescent medicine, Dr. Yonan is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine. In addition, she has written chapters about adolescent medicine for medical textbooks and presented at national conferences including the annual meeting of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine.
Dr. Yonan believes in collaborating with each patient on goals aimed at balancing their physical and mental health needs. She enjoys connecting with her teenage patients and helping them navigate puberty and the transition to adulthood. Working with adolescents keeps her energized, and her patients inspire her every day.
In her free time, Dr. Yonan enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking and visiting places with cooler weather to escape the Arizona heat.
