Shauna Schroeder, MD, MS

Dr. Shauna Schroeder has been practicing Pediatric Gastroenterology at Phoenix Children’s over the last decade. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Arizona and Mayo Clinic. She started the Multidisciplinary Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease Clinic and Sedation Free Programs and medical education as program director of the Pediatric GI/Hepatology Fellowship Program. She did her undergrad training at the University of Illinois Champaign and moved to Florida where she got her master’s in biomedical sciences at Florida Atlantic University. Her interest for Pediatric GI started as a Medical Student at the University of Miami Leonard School of medicine and moved to Yale Pediatric Residency program for further training. She completed her GI/Hepatology Training at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has been involved in multiple industry and clinical translational research studies at Phoenix Children's.
Colby Sharlin, MD

Colby S. Sharlin, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Sharlin has specialized training to treat and diagnose children of all ages with a wide range of conditions and diseases of the digestive tract. He has a particular interest and clinical focus in allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Sharlin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix. He completed his pediatrics residency training at Phoenix Children's and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. In addition, Dr. Sharlin holds a graduate certificate in clinical and translational research from the University of Cincinnati.
Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Sharlin is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition; the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; and the American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders, among others. Dr. Sharlin has had peer-reviewed research published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Current Gastroenterology Reports. He has presented his research findings at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and other notable medical conferences.
Dr. Sharlin serves as an assistant clinical professor of child health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.
In his free time, Dr. Sharlin enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his wife and their dog.
