Amy Williamson, MD, FACOG
Director, Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship

Dr. Williamson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Child Health at the University of Arizona and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Creighton University. She graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona (now Banner University Medical Center). She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of ACOG. She has been actively involved in the North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology since residency.
Noor Zwayne, MD
Dr. Zwayne completed medical school at the University of Arizona and completed her residency at Banner University Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She finished her fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology in 2016 at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children.
Linda Nelson, MD, PhD, FACOG
Dr. Nelson is a board certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist. She is also a Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Arizona. She has a PhD in physiological psychology from UCLA. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and returned to UCLA for her residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology. She completed her Clinical fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and her NIH Research Service Award Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics and the Association of American Medical Colleges Medical Education Presentation. She is also a member of the AAMC National Committee on Disorders of Sexual Development.
Veenod L. Chulani, MD, MSEd, FAAP, FSAHM, CEDS
Section Chief, Adolescent Medicine
Dr. Chulani completed his pediatric residency training at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Chulani completed clinical and research fellowships in Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and an academic fellowship in Youth Violence Prevention from the California Wellness Foundation’s Violence Prevention Initiative. He obtained a Master's degree in Medical Education from the University of Southern California—Keck School of Medicine and maintains a strong interest in medical education. Dr. Chulani is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. His clinical and research interests include adolescent sexual and reproductive health, including the care of gay, lesbian, bisexual transgender and questioning youth and eating disorders. He has lectured nationally and internationally on a host of topics related to Adolescent Medicine.
Kathleen van Leeuwen, MD
Director, Reproductive Anomalies/Disorders of Sexual Development
Dr. van Leeuwen is a native of Phoenix. She received her doctorate of medicine from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her general surgery training at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where she also served as administrative chief resident. She continued her training with the University of Michigan Hospitals, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, for her fellowship in pediatric surgery. She is the Director of the Reproductive Anomalies/Disorders of Sexual Development Clinic at Phoenix Children’s, a multidisciplinary clinic that serves the complex needs of patients with congenital malformations of the reproductive system. She is also the Director of the Arizona Fetal Care Network (AZFCN). AZFCN is the only program in Arizona offering advanced fetal diagnosis and newborn medical and surgical intervention, all at one location. She is a primary investigator on several IRB approved studies including a patient registry for disorders of sexual development.
Dorothy Rowe, MD
Dr. Rowe is a native of Washington D.C. and graduated cum laude from Harvard University. She then spent two years at the National Institute of Health as a research fellow. She attended medical school at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency in General Surgery at Columbia University and spent two years completing a combined research/ECMO fellowship at the Babies and Children’s Hospital of New York. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of New York. She is actively involved in the Reproductive Anomalies/Disorders of Sexual Development Clinic at Phoenix Children’s.
