The Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship is a concentrated three-year ACGME-accredited program at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As program leaders, we recognize the significance of training fellows to become board-certified pediatric nephrologists equipped with the procedural and clinical skills, knowledge, and expertise necessary to emerge as leaders in clinical care, research, and education of patients with nephrological conditions. Our fellows will benefit from exceptional training in an environment that encourages innovation, personal wellness, and a commitment to excellence.
Our objectives are to: 1) supply our fellows with the educational resources, clinical experience, research opportunities, support, and mentorship required to excel within the multifaceted field of nephrology; 2) enable our fellows to acquire comprehensive skills in evaluating, managing, and performing procedural interventions related to nephrological disorders; 3) motivate and prepare our fellows for future careers as leaders in clinical medicine, research, and academic medicine within the nephrology domain; 4) emphasize and teach our fellows strategies for maintaining wellness and personal effectiveness, allowing them to become role models of self-care and wellness while promoting the well-being of the patients they serve.
