Patient Family Advisors

Serving as a Patient Family Advisor is a unique and meaningful way to engage with Phoenix Children’s. Our Patient Family Advisors include any parents or caregivers who partner with hospital staff, clinicians and leadership to provide feedback, share insights and shape initiatives. Advisors help improve the quality, safety and overall experience of care for all families.

Patient Family Advisors serve in a variety of ways, and each opportunity has a specific focus. You can join a Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC), Patient/Parent Workgroup (PPWG) or hospital committee, or serve as patient family faculty.

Virtual Advisory Community

The Virtual Advisory Community consists of adult caregivers or family members who serve as the voice of patients who have received care at Phoenix Children’s.

Members of our Virtual Advisory Community agree to receive up to two brief surveys per month by email and give honest, helpful feedback on various areas and aspects of the health system.

Connections Between Patients & Families

Families often ask about parent-to-parent support or ways to connect their children with others who have a similar diagnosis or experience. At Phoenix Children’s, we encourage families to find this type of support through organizations, such as Encircle Families, or diagnosis-specific foundations.

Resources From Patients & Families

Our Patient Family Advisors have created resources in partnership with Phoenix Children’s leaders, providers and staff. Families can use these tools as prompts or guides during your child’s healthcare journey.
