Phoenix Children’s, one of the nation’s fastest-growing pediatric health systems, announced today that Jared Muenzer, MD, MBA, Chief Physician Executive of the system and Chief Operating Officer for Phoenix Children’s Medical Group, was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives for 2024. This prestigious program honors licensed clinicians in executive roles who are paving the way to better health through their executive responsibility, leadership qualities, innovation, community service and achievements inside and outside of their respective organizations.

As Chief Physician Executive, Muenzer will lead all clinical care, including the health system’s growing behavioral health services, Phoenix Children’s Care Network, clinical research efforts at the Phoenix Children’s Research Institute, medical education and the growing network of Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics practices. He will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Children’s Medical Group, a role he has held since 2016.

Phoenix Children’s is recently acknowledged with three top-employer awards, proving dedication to employee satisfaction. For the fifth year in a row, the Hospital is recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as one of “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare,” and is the only Arizona hospital on the list. Phoenix Children’s Hospital is proud to announce the organization is again ranked by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals in 10 out of 10 specialties. The health system remains Arizona’s only children’s hospital to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report and is one of only 24 children’s hospitals in the United States to make the list in all 10 surveyed specialties for 2019-20.
