For the fourth time, Phoenix Children’s Hospital earned national rankings by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals in 10 out of 10 specialties. The health system is the only children’s hospital in Arizona ever to have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report and one of only 24 children’s hospitals in the United States to rank in all 10 surveyed specialties for 2020-2021.

As Arizonans continue to abide by COVID 19 social distancing restrictions, drowning risk for Arizona’s children is expected to rise. Toddlers in Arizona are already drowning at double the national rate. The Phoenix Tourette Syndrome, a unique partnership between Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Sun Health Research Institute, has been verified as a Center of Excellence by the Tourette Association of America, an institution that aims to advance research and advocacy for Tourette Syndrome and other tic disorders.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Mesa Pediatrics Professional Association (“Mesa Pediatrics”) are thrilled to announce Mesa Pediatrics and its four locations across the Phoenix East Valley joined Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics. The collaboration brings together providers from two of Arizona’s original pediatric institutions. Mesa Pediatrics was the first pediatric practice established in the East Valley with a board certified pediatrician, and Phoenix Children’s is the first and only standalone children’s hospital in Arizona.

Phoenix Children’s Center for Family Health and Safety has been awarded a grant by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). The funds, which total more than $36,000, will support the distribution of car seats, booster seats, helmets, and education for parents on protection from motor vehicle crash-related injuries.
