Adolescent Medicine
Phoenix Children’s Adolescent Medicine bridges the gap between pediatrics and adult medicine. We provide comprehensive primary and specialty care for adolescents up to age 21.
This is a time when young people learn about themselves and gain independence. They navigate important emotional, social and physical changes.
Our team understands the unique needs of adolescents during this stage of growth. We meet each patient where they are. Through personalized care, we support their well-being and help them thrive now and into adulthood.
Collaborative Adolescent Services
Adolescents often face a wide range of physical, emotional and developmental needs. That’s why our team works closely with other specialists across Phoenix Children’s to ensure your adolescent receives the right care at the right time. We take a collaborative, whole-child approach that includes you, so your family always feels supported and informed.
During evaluation and treatment, our physicians may refer your adolescent to additional programs and specialists
Eating Disorder Services
We help adolescents who are dealing with eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia, build a healthier relationship with food, their bodies and themselves through expert care. Our adolescent medicine physicians and care team work with dietitians, therapists and families to understand each adolescent’s unique needs. Together, we guide them toward healing.

Preparing for Adult Care
As your adolescent transitions into a young adult, their healthcare needs and responsibilities evolve. Our team helps youth and families navigate this important shift with confidence.
We provide guidance, tools, and support to help adolescents understand their care and build independence, preparing them to move from pediatric to adult healthcare. With a thoughtful approach, we ensure both you and your adolescent feel supported every step of the way. Our services include healthcare transition–focused visits, and we work closely with your adolescent’s current specialists to identify appropriate adult providers, provide referrals and coordinate care.
