Your newborn is one of a kind. Their care should be just as unique. Our neonatology team provides a full range of specialized services tailored to your baby’s specific needs. These programs include advanced treatments like extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and nitric oxide to support fragile lungs and hearts. Developmental therapies and play groups can help your little one grow and reach important milestones.

  • Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Program: We offer advanced care for babies with lung, heart and airway abnormalities resulting from premature birth.
  • Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) Clinic: We provide expert, tailored treatments for babies with CDH before and after birth.
  • Fetal & Neonatal Genetics: We help with genetic counseling and prenatal screening to guide families as they prepare for their baby’s health needs before and after delivery.
  • Intestinal Rehabilitation Program for Short Bowel Syndrome and Intestinal Failure: Our experts help restore intestinal function and reduce dependence on intravenous (IV) nutrition.
  • Lactation and nutrition support: Our team of lactation consultants and nutritionists supports mothers who wish to breastfeed or supply breastmilk to their baby in the NICU. We also have a donor breastmilk program.
  • Neonatal Hemodynamic Program: We use targeted neonatal echocardiography (TNE) to quickly assess and manage circulatory function in critically ill newborns.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): In the NICU, newborns with complex health challenges receive expert, round-the-clock care from a dedicated team. Families can stay close and be active partners in their baby’s healing journey.
  • Neonatal Quality Program: Evidence-based guidelines, continuous quality improvement and family-centered support mean your baby receives high-quality care for the best possible outcome. 
  • Newborn Early Screening Team (NEST) Clinic: Our care doesn’t end when your baby leaves our NICU. Through NEST, we provide ongoing support for your child as they grow and develop.
  • Neuro-NICU: The only program of its kind in Arizona, our neuro-NICU provides specialized care for babies with neurological injuries and conditions.
  • Perinatal Palliative Care: We provide comforting care to support families facing serious prenatal or newborn diagnoses.
  • Telehealth Neonatal Program: We support a smooth transition from hospital to home by connecting families and pediatricians with our neonatology team through video visits.
  • Tiny Baby Program: We offer a dedicated program for extremely premature babies to help them grow and reach their full potential.
