Focused, Compassionate Care When Your Child Needs It Most
Sometimes, children and families need more care than what’s available in an outpatient setting. Our 23-bed inpatient pediatric psychiatry unit is dedicated to supporting, nurturing and caring for children ages 12 and younger. Here, they will find comfort, understanding and reassurance from a team of specialists to help bring healing. Your child’s care team includes:
- Psychiatrist
- Nurse practitioner
- Teacher
- Behavioral health therapist
- Nurses
- Social workers
Together, we’ll work with you, your child and their care team toward understanding what’s causing their behaviors and identify more productive strategies to cope. We work with parents to teach them skills to better understand and learn how to help their child. Your child’s care will include:
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Medication management
The inpatient program has started the journey of becoming certified in the Sanctuary model and providing evidence-based trauma informed care.
The Sanctuary Model is a blueprint for organizational and clinical change, which at its core, promotes safety and recovery from adversity through the active creation of a trauma informed community.
