I treat the family as a partner in care, not just a bystander – communicating in plain language, checking understanding, and respecting cultural and personal differences in how they approach illness. I act as the hub between subspecialists, nursing and primary care providers, ensuring clear handoffs at admission and discharge so care stays coordinated and nothing falls through the cracks. My goal is to optimize care for the children of the Arrowhead and surrounding community.
About Ashley N. Bartlett, MD
Ashley Bartlett, MD, is a pediatric hospitalist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Bartlett cares for hospitalized infants and children with a broad range of acute conditions, including bronchiolitis (especially RSV), asthma exacerbations, pneumonia, croup and urinary tract infections. She also evaluates newborns for feeding difficulties, growth faltering and hyperbilirubinemia requiring phototherapy, and manages febrile infants, dehydration, and skin and soft-tissue infections.
Dr. Bartlett earned her Bachelor of Science in genetics, cell biology and development from the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences in Minneapolis and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She completed her pediatric residency at the Phoenix Children's Pediatric Residency Program Alliance in Phoenix, where she served as chief resident, providing clinical care as a hospitalist and newborn nursery physician while leading resident education, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Dr. Bartlett is board-certified in pediatrics by The American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Outside of work, Dr. Bartlett enjoys golfing, hiking and backpacking, traveling and exploring with her dog and nephews. She stays active through Orangetheory Fitness workouts.
