About Estafani M. Rivas, MD
Estafani Rivas, MD, is a pediatrician with Phoenix Children's Homeless Youth Outreach program. Dr. Rivas is passionate about providing general pediatric care for children, adolescents and young adults experiencing homelessness.
Dr. Rivas first worked at Phoenix Children's during her medical training and chose to stay because of the Homeless Youth Outreach program and the community it serves. She is inspired each day by the wonderful team she works with and the gratification that comes from working with teenagers and young adults.
After completing her undergraduate degree at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Rivas went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. She completed her residency training at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Rivas is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is fluent in Spanish and has volunteered her time on medical missions in Nicaragua and Peru. Dr. Rivas is committed to serving the LGBT and Latino communities. She meets each patient with a ready-to-listen mindset and uses a holistic approach to care, including educating her patients on important life skills.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Rivas spends time outside rock climbing, camping and hiking. She also loves music and enjoys playing the ukulele, making playlists and listening to live music.
