About Timur O. Raghib, MD
Timur Ozhan Raghib, MD, FAAP, is a hospitalist, a physician who cares for infants and children while they're patients in the hospital. Dr. Raghib chose Phoenix Children's because it's a respected leader in pediatric care and provides access to some of the best specialists in the nation.
Dr. Raghib's father was one of two pediatricians in their North Dakota hometown. His dad's passion for his career and dedication to patients inspired Dr. Raghib to go into medicine. He shares his father's drive to help children and considers their smiles his reward.
Dr. Raghib earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his pediatric internship and residency and served as chief resident with the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center/Michigan State University Pediatric Residency Program at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. He's board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics and board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics, Hospital Medicine Subspecialty.
Through research, Dr. Raghib contributes to advancing his field. He's administered studies and published in professional journals.
Dr. Raghib believes children and families should be treated equitably with the same compassion he would expect for his children. When it comes to treatment and care, he focuses on shared decision making with parents and caregivers.
When he's not working, Dr. Raghib loves traveling with his wife and playing and coaching hockey. He also serves as a medical advisor for Make-A-Wish Arizona.
