Down Syndrome Clinic

Understanding that every child's journey is unique, especially for those with Down syndrome, we cater to the evolving needs of our patients and their families across their lifespan:

Prenatal Consultation

For expectant parents with a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis, our developmental and behavioral pediatric specialists offer vital support and information regarding the diagnosis and potential medical and developmental complications associated with Down syndrome. We aim to empower parents by offering a comprehensive understanding of Down syndrome, connecting them with community resources and preparing them for the journey ahead. This support is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and confidence necessary to care for their child with Down syndrome from the very beginning.

Early Childhood Visits

Infants and young children with Down syndrome may require specialized care, including therapies tailored to their specific needs, such as feeding, physical, occupational and speech therapy. We have a multidisciplinary team, including a developmental and behavioral pediatrician and rehabilitation therapists. We focus on monitoring each child’s development closely, recommending necessary services and guiding families through the crucial early stages of their child's life. Our visits are dedicated to supporting every aspect of your child's development, offering comprehensive evaluation and personalized therapy plans to ensure they receive the specialized care they need.

School-aged and Adolescent Visits

Serving children ages 6 to 18, our specialized visit focuses on the unique needs of school-aged children and adolescents with Down syndrome. Our team includes developmental and behavioral pediatricians and a dietitian specializing in the complex nutritional needs of children with Down syndrome. Together, we collaborate to monitor progress, address emerging concerns and provide ongoing support.
