When a child breaks a bone, it can be a scary and painful experience. The Fracture Clinic at Phoenix Children’s provides compassionate, personalized follow-up care by pediatric orthopedic specialists who understand the uniqueness of a child’s growing bones and growth plate injuries. Our treatment plans help children and young athletes return to their normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Most children who experience a broken bone receive immediate medical attention at one of our Urgent Care locations or Emergency Departments. Our outpatient Fracture Clinic provides specialized follow-up care for patients with simple and complex fractures. Pediatric experts perform X-rays onsite and will make sure your child sees the right specialist for their injury. Most fractures don’t require surgery. However, if surgery is needed, our orthopedic surgeons will walk you and your child through the entire process and answer any questions. If your child needs a splint, cast, brace or boot, you can count on our team to use the most up-to-date immobilization methods.
