Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Fellowship Programs
Our Emergency Department (ED) and American College of Surgeons-verified Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center, (only one of a few in the nation) opened September 20, 2017. This amazing care facility is the only pediatric emergency service in a free-standing children’s hospital in Arizona.
Every one of our full-time physicians are pediatric emergency medicine-trained specialists, working together to provide innovative emergency care 24/7. Our nursing staff also has unequaled pediatric emergency experience and expertise.
Our Hospital received ACGME accreditation for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship in December 2003. The curriculum includes a full research year distributed evenly over the Fellowship as required by the ACGME. The fellows will be primarily based at Phoenix Children's with rotations in adult emergency medicine at Maricopa Medical Center, trauma at St. Joseph's Hospital, toxicology at Banner University Medical Center and EMS with the Phoenix Fire Department. Electives are available in all the different subspecialties. The formal education program will consist of didactic lectures, literature reviews and structured reading arranged as weekly conferences.
Our program offers three positions through the NRMP.
