Inpatient Pharmacy

Our clinical pharmacists and technicians are highly trained to support our inpatient hospitals, infusion centers, clinics and surgery center care teams. Inpatient Pharmacy provides a review of your child's medication order for dispensing and administering and also completes medication discharge education.

The Inpatient Pharmacy team prepares individual oral or IV medication for inpatient hospital stays, infusion centers and outpatient clinics to provide comprehensive pharmacy care to children of all ages.

What to Expect

Each of our Inpatient Pharmacy locations is dedicated to delivering exceptional, 24/7 care. We work closely with care teams to ensure your or your child’s inpatient medication needs are met quickly and accurately. Our clinical pharmacists and technicians have advanced pediatric education and training, and we regularly share our knowledge of the latest studies and innovations with doctors, nurses and other members of the care team.

In addition to our two Inpatient Pharmacy locations, we provide services for Phoenix Children’s Emergency Department – Avondale Campus and Phoenix Children’s – East Valley Campus remotely.

Investigational Drug Services

At Phoenix Children’s, we pride ourselves on our progressive research and clinical trials as we work to uncover new and exciting treatments and therapies. Our Investigational Drug Services (IDS) team works closely with the Research department at Phoenix Children’s to test new drugs, coordinate clinical trials and collect data. Our IDS staff includes a research pharmacist specialist and a pharmacy technician specialist who are expertly trained in the research process to ensure safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.
