- PHOENIX (February 8, 2021) — In the culmination of a year-long, nationwide search, Phoenix Children’s and the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix today announced the hire of Stewart Goldman, M.D., as chair of the Department of Child Health and senior vice president of research.
- Phoenix Children's recently achieved accreditation as an Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Comprehensive Care Center from the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA), a nationwide organization dedicated to education, advocacy and research to improve the lives of those born with heart defects. Phoenix Children’s is one of only 38 programs nationwide to receive accreditation and is the only hospital in Arizona to earn this distinction.
- PHOENIX (January 5, 2021) — Phoenix Children’s Medical Group (PCMG) announced today that it has added six new physicians to its nationally ranked Nephrology Division. Gina-Marie Barletta, MD; Kelly Benedict, MD; Stephanie Hsieh, MD; Mark Joseph, MD; Karen Papez, MD; and Scott Williams, MD, have joined PCMG, creating the largest team of pediatric nephrologists in Arizona.
- Phoenix Children’s Medical Group is pleased to welcome nine new providers to its nationally ranked Neonatology program. These providers will serve Phoenix’s growing East Valley and expand the enterprise’s top-ranked neonatology services across Phoenix. Ranked among the top 20 neonatology programs in the United States, Phoenix Children’s NICU and neonatology services support dozens of conditions that impact newborns.
- For the fourth time, Phoenix Children’s Hospital earned national rankings by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals in 10 out of 10 specialties. The health system is the only children’s hospital in Arizona ever to have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report and one of only 24 children’s hospitals in the United States to rank in all 10 surveyed specialties for 2020-2021.
